Tagged-Addictions
Been tagged by pinku. I am supposed, to give a list of my top 5 addictions. Wow! 5?? By the way, who decides on the number? Anywhoooo….here you go:
Cigarettes take the top spot. This is the biggest addiction of my life. I wake up, I smoke, I eat, I smoke, I smoke and I goto sleep. I tried to stop smoking cigarettes by telling myself; I just didn’t want to smoke. But, I didn’t believe myself and I am still trying to quit.
Tea, takes the second spot. I wake up, groggy eyed every morning and torture myself to 5 minutes of walk to get to the roadside bakery for a nice refreshing drink of tea. After, that I am official awake. Otherwise, you can find me snapping away at people in the office all day long
I am addicted to Junk food. You show me a place which serves a decent burger, fries and a good soda – I am following you there
. I make excuses to eat junk food. My mom hates it and I loooooovvvveeee it.
I am addicted to gaming. I spend atlest 1,000/- every month buying a new game. The past few days, I have been exploring the ‘spore‘ universe. I usually spend about 3hours a day playing these games and usually, these 3hrs cuts into my sleep time.
Whats a life without love? I am hopelessly romantic. Find, the allure of love irresistable.
Thanks for reading!!

The moribund reality…
When, out of uttermost hopelessness — a miracle beyond the power of belief — will the light of hope dawn? A lonely man folds his hands and speaks: “God be merciful to thy poor soul, my friend, my Motherland!”

Tagged!
I have been tagged by Indian Home Maker.
The rules for the tag are:
RULE #1 People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs and replace any question that they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.
RULE #2 Tag 6 people to do this quiz and those who are tagged cannot refuse. These people must state who they were tagged by and cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by continue this game by sending it to other people.
1. If your lover betrayed you, what will your reaction be?
– Somehow there is no correct answer to these questions is there. I would be enraged, for about 2 minutes. That is usually, how long I can stay angry with a person; unless, they piss me off pretty bad. Then, I would probably like to know the reason why. Answer, no answer it would life back to normal again.
2. If you can have a dream come true, what would it be?
– Being remembered for a long time as someone who changed the course of history.
3. If you could, whose butt would you like to kick?
– Oh! There is a lot of them out there. If I had to pick one person, it would be grave injustice to the rest of the cock suckers out there now; wouldn’t it?

Religious vocabulary
Something, is definitely fucked up! when you talk about religion and terrorism in the same sentence. So, let’s get somethings right shall we? Let us not add more fuel to the already burning pyre of Indian diversity and religious tolerance.
The spotlight thing…
I deleted my old blog for a certain reason. And this post was one of the reasons. Then why revive a post such as this? I really don’t know but, maybe because I want to test if I really buried the hatchet or still carry the burden. And oh! yes, I am an attention whore.
After all, when there is no one to turn to; all you want is for your reality to be a dream.

A Feel Good Romantic Comedy…
It’s not my thing to blog about movies but, what the heck? When you see a good one might as well share it with the populace. I watched Music and Lyrics last night on HBO.
It’s about Alex Fletcher who lives in Manhattan singing songs from his 80′s hit group Pop’s albums. When his friend/manager Chris, Riley (Brad Garret – Everybody loves Raymond) gets him a chance to write for a teen sensation, he takes it. Trouble is, he’s good at melodies but needs a lyricist and has less than a week to finish. Sophie Fisher, who is subbing for a friend to waters Alex’s plants; is a pretty good poet, quick witted, and could do it, if she’d agree. But there’s some sort of shadow over her head that Alex may not be able to charm his way past…
The movie basically is a feel good, romantic comedy. Hugh does not disappoint but, Drew Barrymore does in some scenes. Some corny one liner’s and a few sentimental twists are expected in a movie like this and in spite of all this, it’s a good time pass. I liked four of the songs in the movie, they were easy on the ears and had nice catchy lyrics. Oh! By the way Hugh and Drew can sing and they do sing a romantic duet.

Ganapati Bappa Morya!!….
Sep24, 2007 the day before Ananta Chaturdashi (or nimajjan day). We were sitting in a jam packed cafeteria 7 floors above ground level and 15 minutes ago, I was in 2nd floor of my office typing away commands to backup databases when I heard a huge roar and the chants:”Moryaaa Re Bappa Moryaaa Re!!!Ganpati Bappa Moryaaaa!!!MangalMoorti Moryaaa!!!Ganapati bappa morya”
Now, in a typical office building where you have thick glass windows and an A/C system. For a voice to carry down 5 floors, it had to be huge. Indeed it was, it was the collective chant of close to 400 people standing shoulder to shoulder on the roof and watching on a 103 inch screen the final of the T-20 world cup. After we reached the terrace, one more wicket fell and almost everyone in the cafeteria started chanting “Ganapati Bappaaaaa Moryaaaaa, MangalMoorti Moryaaa”. But, the best part was yet to come.
The last over, I think the first ball went for a four and immediately while Joginder was at the top of his run up to deliver the next ball; the chanting started again. This time, the few who were hesitant to join in earlier because of whatever reason joined the chanting…the hairs on my hand stood up and it felt like the whole cafeteria was in a trance chanting the name of Ganesha, the god of the common man.
Later on we won the game and all went away but, I sat there wondering what in heaven’s name happened for those 5minutes during the last over when time looked like it was grinding to a halt and the chantes grew louder, faster and more rythmic. Then It hit me, Ganapati is a god that every common man in India likes. The reason for that is because his story, is one filled with a lot of obstacles and the belief is that since he has faced so many hardships himself; he is in a better position to understand our hardships and help us overcome the googly’s life throws at us.
Last year was interesting. Let’s see what this year; the rat riding, elephant headed, lovable god of the small folk brings to the party on his birthday
